We are used to dive in currywurst, bretzel and schnitzel ocean if wanna eat “german style”. Lot of sausage with bread is encoded in the roots of German cuisine, but this post is about different approach – a new advanced attitude in the German food culture. It has evolved over the time and, as most progressive and trendy things in Germany, it begins in Berlin. In this case in developing multi-culti quarter of Berlin – Wedding.

Sashimi, Dashi, Chawanmushi.. in 1 word – lots of UMAMI in Ernst meals!

The concept of Ernst is super fresh, pure products made in a delicious authentic style. There is high value in the simplicity and perfection of the ingredients with perceptible influence of Japanese kitchen. Each day a superb 35 course & beverage menu is created like an elegant ballet choreography. This is in close cooperation with the best producers from small gardens and dairies in Berlin and its surrounding regions, with carefully sourced and ethically raised meat and fish. All wines and champagnes are specially selected from small organic wineries with little or no sulphites added.

The restaurant was created by “Fantastic 4” – four young, enthusiastic and hot looking guys – Dylan, Christoph, Spencer and Tobias, who were united in the great idea, and not because of business needs or by the rich investor, I guess. They are now here to illuminate the Berlin’s, Germany’s and world’s audiences about the quality of food and drinks, its preparation art and eating culture.

Potatoes smoked on hay with hazelnut. I could eat a kilo of this every damn day!

This unforgettable and extraordinary dining experience was presented personal manner in intimate atmosphere for only 12 diner guests of Ernst. A true emotions of aroma & flavour sensations of that limited moment in time. Hey all #winelovers and #gourmets, how could we miss such a bright and unique experience?!?!

Dylan is arranging celeriac, that was slowly grilled for 6 hours (and rotated every 4min), so yummy..

This restaurant is fully booked for months in advance. Ernst do not need a star, but deserve several. Once you have been there, this will change the way you see the food and you won’t be the same person anymore..
